Antoine Griezmann lined up for Barcelona on Friday night in the  number 17 shirt, and it looks like he'll be stuck with it for the  rest of the season. His preferred number is 7, and although the current owner of  that shirt at Barcelona, Philippe Coutinho, is off to Bayern  Munich on loan, Griezmann won't be able to take it from him. Official La Liga rules state that a player must wear the same  number on the back of their shirt in every official game they  play for an entire season. If Coutinho's loan deal had gone through just a few days  earlier, Griezmann might have got his wish. Griezmann may be hoping they take that option, freeing the  number 7 shirt up for next season.

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Barcelona  attacker Philippe Coutinho for a year on loan. FC Bayern have confirmed they have reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho  on a one year loan with an option to buy.  Coutinho is expected in the next few days in Munich to clarify  final details and to complete the medical check. According to Diario Sport, Bayern would pay the player's  salary for about 12 million euros, the club also pay about 20  million euros for the loan and they have remained a purchase  option for 120 million euros The Brazilian had been heavily linked with a move away from  Barcelona this summer, with Bayern thought to be seriously  interested as it searches for replacements for both Franck  Ribery and Arjen Robben.
