The Serie A side will reportedly pay €18 million (£16m/$21m) up front to push a deal through, in the process making him their fourth new addition following the signings of Bryan Cristante, Ante Coric and Ivan Marcano.
Kluivert - who made his Netherlands debut in March, coming off the bench in a 3-0 friendly win over Portugal - scored 10 goals and provided five assists in the 2017-18 Eredivisie season.
Kluivert had been warned against making a move away from Ajax so early in his development , with father Patrick tellingOle : "I personally said to him maybe it's better to stay one more year at Ajax, to make some kilometres, to be important for the team.
"He's 19 years old. He's still young, but he makes his own decisions, and as a dad, I have to stand behind all the decisions that he makes."
The youngster will be hoping that he has made the right career call, with his rapid progress to this point having seen him win plenty of admirers and the Goal NxGn 2018 .
