Hart closing on £4m Burnley move

 
Keeper set to leave Man City permanently
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is closing in on a £4 million transfer to Burnley, reports The Sun.
Injuries to Nick Pope and Tom Heaton have left Burnley looking for a new keeper and they have lined up a deal for Hart.
The England international is now due to undergo a medical ahead of finalising his move to Turf Moor.
 

West Ham back in for Bernard

 
West Ham are back in the race to sign former Shakhtar Donetsk winger Bernard, reports The Guardian.
Bernard is available on a free transfer after leaving Shakhtar, with the Brazil international also wanted by Chelsea and AC Milan.
His £200,000-a-week contract demands had initially put West Ham off a deal, but the Premier League club are now considering an approach amid reports Bernard is ready to lower his demands.
 

Guardiola: City only want special signings

Pep Guardiola admits to still being on the lookout for another midfielder after missing out on Jorginho, but insists Manchester City will only spend again if a “special player” becomes available.
The reigning Premier League champions have been relatively quiet during the summer transfer window, with Riyad Mahrez their only addition to date.
City had been hoping to land Italy international Jorginho from Napoli, but with Chelsea having won that battle Guardiola is now reassessing his options.

More on the news that Alex Iwobi has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal that ties him to the London side until 2022.
Iwobi, who has been with the Gunners since he was nine years old, was over the moon in putting pen to paper on a new deal.
He said: “To get an extended contract is an amazing feeling and I hope I'm doing the Arsenal family proud as well as my family.”

Maurizio Sarri is "very confident" Willian will remain at Chelsea and insists there is no problem with the Brazilian after he returned late from his holiday.
He has been a constant subject of speculation since, however, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United all credited with an interest in him.
Reports even suggested Chelsea were open to selling him given he turns 30 next week, his late return from a post-World Cup holiday doing little to ease the tension.

 

Higuain explains why he chose Milan over Chelsea

 
Gonzalo Higuain has suggested that Maurizio Sarri wanted to sign him for Chelsea.
Higuain has joined AC Milan on loan, with defender Leonardo Bonucci heading the other way to Juventus in a deal that also involved Mattia Caldara moving to San Siro.
Goal understands that Chelsea held talks with Juve over the possibility of signing Higuain, along with defender Daniele Rugani, with the Argentina international explaining why he ended up choosing Milan over last season’s FA Cup winners.

West Ham have made an offer to sign Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, reports Esport3.
Barcelona are willing to sell the Portugal international, with Gomes open to a move to the Premier League after previously being targeted by Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo reports Barcelona’s interest in signing Domingos Quina from West Ham could help to speed up the negotiations for Gomes.

Dortmund launch Gameiro bid

 
Borussia Dortmund are looking to hijack Valencia's move for Atletico Madrid forward Kevin Gameiro, according to Marca.
The former Paris Saint-Germain striker looked set for the Mestalla after a €14 million (£12.5m/$16.2m) was agreed between the two Liga clubs.
But Dortmund have now made a bid of their own that betters the offer of Valencia as they look to bolster their own strikeforce.
 

Watford reject £9m Deeney bid

 
Watford have turned down a £9 million ($12m) bid from Burnley for striker Troy Deeney, according to the Watford Observer.
Burnley were reportedly prepared to offer Deeney a five-year contract after also having an offer for West Brom forward Jay Rodriguez turned down.
However, Watford don’t want to lose Deeney and intend to keep the 30-year-old beyond the transfer deadline.

Courtois 'definitely' leaving amid Madrid links

 
Real Madrid target Thibaut Courtois will “definitely” be heading out of Chelsea before the summer transfer window closes, according to Belgium coach Graeme Jones.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has long been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu, with reports saying that the Blues are actively looking for a replacement.
And Jones, who worked with Courtois at the World Cup, thinks the player will definitely be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign £50 million ($65m)-rated Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng, according to the Daily Mail.
Jose Mourinho's side are also in for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina as the Red Devils attempt to bring in another centre-back before the transfer window closes.
But United may now decide to move for Boateng, with Bayern open to selling the 29-year-old Germany international who has previously expressed a desire to seek a new challenge.
 

Inter back in for Darmian

 
Inter have made contact with Matteo Darmian's representatives and are ready to reignite a move for the Italian defender, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Napoli had hoped to seal a deal for the out-of-favour Manchester United full-back but Inter have complicated that move by re-entering the race to sign him.

Brazilian striker thrilled to commit his future to champions
Here’s more on the news that Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has signed a five-year contract extension with the Premier League champions.
Having arrived at the Etihad Stadium from Palmeiras in January 2017, the Brazil international has gone on to score 24 goals in 53 appearances in his first 18 months at the club.
The 21-year-old will now remain with Pep Guardiola's side until 2023 and was thrilled to commit his future to the club.
