Mourinho: I have already turned down three job offers

Jose Mourinho has claimed that he has already turned down three job offers from unspecified clubs since moving on from Manchester United.
The Portuguese manager was relieved of his duties at Old Trafford after two and a half years in charge last month.
Adverse Premier League results and a deteriorating dressing room atmosphere both contributed to his sacking, while results have improved noticeably at United under interim successor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Valverde not frustrated by De Jong and Vela wait

Barcelona's links to Frenkie de Jong and Carlos Vela were brushed aside by head coach Ernesto Valverde, who insisted he was not frustrated while waiting for signings.
Highly rated Ajax midfielder De Jong is a target for Barca and Manchester City, as revealed by Goal, although Paris Saint-Germain are believed to have stolen ahead in their pursuit of the 21-year-old.
Compared to one of the most sought-after young talents in the world, Los Angeles FC's former Arsenal and Real Sociedad forward Vela would represent a more left-field solution to Valverde's desire for extra cover in attack.

Mourinho hits out at Man Utd's transfer policy

Jose Mourinho has highlighted the investment made in Manchester City and Liverpool's squads in a thinly veiled dig at Manchester United's transfer policy during his time in charge.
Although United splashed out £89 million ($115m) on Paul Pogba and £75m ($97m) on Romelu Lukaku during his time in charge, Mourinho was left increasingly frustrated by what he perceived to be a lack of backing in the market by the Old Trafford board.
United have won seven games out of seven since Mourinho's sacking, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer presiding over a perfect record during his spell as interim replacement.

Chelsea quoted £100m for Coutinho

Prem return for Selecao star?
Chelsea have been in touch with Barcelona over the availability of Coutinho, with the London side being quoted £100m ($130m) for the Brazilian's services.
The former Liverpool man had a positive start to life at Camp Nou, but has fallen down the pecking order late, with Ousmane Dembele being preferred in attack.
Manchester United are reported to be interested in the 26-year-old, but Chelsea have reportedly not baulked at Barca's valuation of the playmaker, meaning a battle could be on for his signature.
It is said that the Liga champions plan to use the money recouped from the sale of Coutinho to help fund Neymar's return to Spain.

No January signings for Everton

Marco Silva has said that Everton 'don't have the conditions' to dip into the January transfer market.
Despite being eleventh in the Premier League table, the Toffees' work in the close season appears to have been enough for the club's board.
Speaking after the 2-1 loss to Southampton, Silva told the press: “Top stop the speculation, the feedback from our board is that we don't have the conditions to go into the market.”

Hammers face La Liga competition for Belotti

West Ham are not the only side considering a move for Torino striker Andrea Belotti.
La Liga trio Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia are also keen on landing a proven frontman during the winter window and are keeping a close eye on events surrounding an Italy international.

'Ozil's time is up at Arsenal'

Mesut Ozil has been urged to leave Arsenal because his "time is up" at the club, according to Paul Merson.
The Germany international is regarded by many as a problem for the Gunners and is falling out of favour under new boss Unai Emery.
And Merson believes it is time for the ex-Real Madrid star to leave, saying Arsenal should be able to attract a big offer from China.

Barca's Malcom waiting on Guangzhou Evergrande offer

Barcelona winger Malcom is ready to quit the club as he is expecting Guangzhou Evergrande to make a big offer for him.
The Brazilian has had a difficult start to his Camp Nou career, but was said to be determined to stay and fight for his place in Ernesto Valverde's team.
However, growing interest from the Chinese Super League has turned the 21-year-old's head and he hopes to make a big money move when their offer comes in.

PSG in pole position to sign De Jong after talks

Ligue 1 side eye €75m deal for star midfielder
PSG have held talks with Ajax over the potential signing of Frenkie de Jong and are favourites to sign the midfielder.
The French side are competing with Barcelona and Manchester City in the battle to land the Netherlands international and met with Ajax officials in Amsterdam on Friday.
PSG will have to pay upwards of €75 million (£66m/$85m) for the player but they are not worried about potential Financial Fair Play rules holding them back from closing the deal.

Barcelona will not try to sign Carlos Vela from Los Angeles FC.

The Mexico international emerged as a surprise option for the Catalan side, who are in the hunt for a new striker this month.
After LAFC insisted they have had no contact from Barcelona. The Catalan side have ruled out the possibility of signing him.

Solari worried Isco is hindering Real Madrid

Santiago Solari is reluctant to bring Isco back into the Real Madrid starting XI believes he holds the rest of the team back.
The midfielder is said to be unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu and wants to leave, with Manchester City and Arsenal among those monitoring his situation.
His chances of convincing Solari to let him play more often look slim, however, as the coach does not want to put him in the team at Luka Modric's expense.
The Spain international is making the rest of the team play worse and and appears upset in the dressing room, only enhancing the likelihood of a departure from the Spanish capital.

Roma reject Spurs' Schick advances

Tottenham have highlighted Patrik Schick as a target to replace the injured Harry Kane, but have been knocked back by Roma.
The Premier League side are considering their options after learning they will be without their star striker until March. Mauricio Pochettino has says Spurs will look to find cover from within their squad, but have sounded out Roma over Schick's availability.
Roma are not interested in letting the 22-year-old go, however, and have snubbed Spurs' approach.

Barcelona make last push to sign Rabiot

Adrien Rabiot will be given one last chance to join Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Catalan side have long been trying to lure the midfielder to Camp Nou, but face competition from several top European clubs, while PSG have not given up on keeping him.
Barca will hold talks with Rabiot next week, where he will either make a commitment to the Camp Nou outfit or they will back out of the deal entirely.

Alexander-Arnold signs new Liverpool contract

Trent Alexander-Arnold has signed a new five-year contract with Liverpool.
The 20-year-old's impressive displays in recent seasons have made him the Reds' first choice right-back, though he is currently out with an injury.
Alexander-Arnold's renewal comes just days after fellow full-back Andy Robertson signed a long-term deal with Jurgen Klopp's team.

West Ham eye Belotti as Arnautovic replacement

West Ham will try to lure Andrea Belotti to the Premier League if they lose Marko Arnautovic.
Belotti has long been linked with a switch to the English top flight amid his rise to stardom in Serie A but Torino refused to let him go.
With Arnautovic on the verge of a move to China, West Ham are considering other options and see the Italy international as a top candidate. However, Torino are still holding out for a fee upwards of €60 million (£53m/$68m).
