Big EPL moves that could still happen before their transfer deadline on August 8
There are just 10 day left of this summer's transfer window and
a string of deals in the pipeline or mooted but yet to be
completed.
Here, we takes a look at some of the biggest transfers that
could still be done before the transfer window closes next
Thursday.
Nicolas Pepe - Arsenal
This would be a major statement signing from Arsenal if they
can pull it off. Arsenal have moved quickly to agree a
structured £72million deal with Lille for the Ivory Coast
winger, who would significantly bolster their attacking
options. Now they need to hold off the competition from
home and abroad to finalise the club record deal.

Wilfried Zaha - Everton
Wilfried Zaha wants out of Crystal Palace and Everton's
interest offers him fresh hope of securing a move with
Arsenal's attention now turned to Pepe. They have the money
to pull off a deal which will be needed with Palace holding out
for as much as £80m. Everton had opening bid of £55m
rejected but returned with an improved offer on Monday.
Likelihood rating: ★★★☆☆
Harry Maguire - Manchester United
Manchester United badly need a new centre back and Harry
Maguire ticks many of the boxes. United's highest offer so far
of £70m is close to what Leicester want but not quite close
enough.
He wants to move to Old Trafford and time is running out for
United to up their offer.
Likelihood rating: ★★★★☆
Ryan Sessegnon - Tottenham
A move to Tottenham has seemed a near certainty all
summer following Fulham's relegation but until a deal is done
there is always doubt. Fulham want around £25m for
Sessegnon but Spurs have yet to stump up the cash and are
hoping they can agree a cheaper price.
Likelihood rating: ★★★★☆
Kieran Tierney - Arsenal
There is confidence that Kieran Tierney will end the window
as an Arsenal player. He wants to make the move, Arsenal are
optimistic and Celtic won't stand in his way providing price
offered is right. So far it hasn't been from two bids but only
the structure of the offer remains to be sorted.
Likelihood rating: ★★★★☆
Bruno Fernandes - Manchester United
Another possible in at Old Trafford before next week's
deadline. United have been linked with the goalscoring
Portugal midfielder all summer but that interest has yet to
develop into a bid. Wants move to England which increases
chances of a deal getting done.
Likelihood rating: ★★★★☆
Romelu Lukaku - Inter/Juventus
His exit is only a matter of time. Now just a case of where and
when, rather than if. Inter ready to offer cash with United
wanting to recoup the £75m they paid Everton for the Belgian
striker. Juventus could offer players to make up a deal that
satisfies United. His omission from the United squad for their
friendly in Norway is the latest sign that he is off.
Likelihood rating: ★★★★★
Paul Pogba - Real Madrid
Paul Pogba wants a new challenge and one of his idols,
Zinedine Zidane, wants to offer him that at Real Madrid.
United want at least £150m though and having failed to strike
a deal with either of Gareth Bale's Chinese suitors there are
now doubts about whether Madrid can accommodate
Pogba's wages. His exit will also be dependent on United
finding a replacement.
Likelihood rating: ★★☆☆☆
Leroy Sane - Bayern Munich
Manchester City are not short of wide options but could they
really let such a key contributor in the last two years go so
late
in the window? Bayern Munich will try to convince them.
Germans have gaps to fill in their wide areas following the
retirement of Arjen Robben and free transfer departure of
Frank Ribery and are confident they can prise Sane away.
Likelihood rating: ★★★☆☆
Giovani Lo Celso - Tottenham
Another deal with plenty of the pieces already in place. The
Argentinian playmaker wants to join suitors Spurs and Real
Betis have signed his replacement. Now for the small matter
of the fee. Difference of opinion over that with Betis holding
out for around £68m. Having already spent just under that
sum on Tanuguy Ndombele, Spurs are aiming to negotiate
that valuation down.
Likelihood rating: ★★★☆☆
