Top transfers of the just concluded EPL window

Another summer of signings is over, so which players loom as 

the best acquisitions?

With deadline day done and dusted, Premier League clubs are 

now left to evaluate the business they've done over the past 

few months with some far happier with the players they've 

got than others.

this summer...

Daniel James: Swansea to Manchester United (£15m/€17m)

The 21-year-old Welshman has voiced his desire to follow in 

the footsteps of Ryan Giggs and if he can deliver half of what 

the Red Devils legend did, Daniel James will prove a quality 

buy for Manchester United.

Still relatively unproven after a strong season in the 

Championship, the winger will likely take some time to show 

what he's capable of in the Premier League. 

David Luiz: Chelsea to Arsenal (£7m/€8m)

A surprise late transfer, David Luiz has swapped Stamford 

Bridge for the Emirates and he will give Arsenal's defence a 

solid, if sometimes unpredictable, outlet. 

Arriving for a small fee, the Brazilian should be a tidy pick up 

for the Gunners, who simply needed to add another centre-

back to their squad. 

Kieran Tierney: Celtic to Arsenal (£25m/€27m)

After a protracted transfer battle, Arsenal finally landed Kieran

Tierney for a relatively small sum, especially considering he's 

a player capable of having a big impact on the Gunner's fragile

 backline. 

The former Celtic star will be a vital addition to the Arsenal 

backline and, at 22, still has room to grow.

Giovani Lo Celso: Real Betis to Tottenham (loan)

The former PSG midfielder starred in La Liga last season for 

Betis and he will give Tottenham's midfield a dynamic extra 

edge. 

With 19 caps for Argentina to his name, Mauricio Pochettino 

is more than capable of getting the best out of Giovani Lo 

Celso.

Dani Ceballos: Real Madrid to Arsenal (loan)

Whenever you can pick up a Real Madrid player for free it 

should be considered a good piece of business and the 

Gunners loan acquisition of Dani Ceballos is just that. 

The 23-year-old Spaniard will add some fresh energy to 

Arsenal's midfield and should be a handy replacement for 

Aaron Ramsey. 

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: Crystal Palace to Manchester United (£50m/€55m)

Though not coming cheap for a 21-year-old right-back, Aaron 

Wan-Bissaka fills a gaping hole in Manchester United's 

backline with his pre-season performances proving he's 

capable of bringing plenty to Old Trafford in both attack and

 defence. 

Rodri: Atletico Madrid to Manchester City (£64m/€70m)

The Spanish midfielder looms as the perfect man to operate 

at the base of Manchester City's midfield and though not 

coming cheap, still has his best years ahead of him at just 23.

Rodri didn't look out of place in his competitive debut for City 

in the Community Shield and will be a hard man 

for Fernandinho to dislodge this season. 

Joao Cancelo: Juventus to Manchester City (£59/€65m)

Secured as part of a swap deal for Danilo, Joao Cancelo will 

give Manchester City's right flank a dangerous new dimension

and provides depth in a position where it was needed. 

The swap deal also saved City quite a bit of cash, making the 

defender a shrewd pick up. 

Harry Maguire: Leicester City to Manchester United (£80m/€86m)

Desperately needing to strengthen their backline, Manchester 

United had to make Harry Maguire the most expensive 

defender in history to land him and that price tag will put 

added pressure on the centre-back's broad shoulders. 

But boasting all the attributes the Red Devils have been 

lacking at the back and already settled in the Premier League, 

the 26-year-old is a necessary and relatively safe investment. 

Tanguy Ndombele: Lyon to Tottenham (£54m/€60m)

After going a whole season without spending, Spurs splashed

some serious cash to land Frenchmidfielder Tanguy 

Ndombele and he looks to be a worthwhile investment. 

The former Lyon man appears capable of giving Spurs' 

midfield an extra dimension and he provided an assist with 

his first involvement for the club in a pre-season friendly 

against Juventus. 

Nicolas Pepe: Lille to Arsenal (£72m/€80m)

After commanding a club-record fee, Nicolas Pepe will have 

plenty to prove at the Emirates but appears capable of living 

up to the hype. After scoring 22 goals and contributing 11 

assists in Ligue 1 last season, the 24-year-old looks capable 

of making Arsenal's front three one of the best in the Premier 

League. 

Should Pepe find his feet alongside Alexandre Lacazette and 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Gunners attack will be near 

unstoppable this season.
